Those who have installed solar panels that have been connected to an Enemalta meter will receive their accumulated credit on the first utility bill issued after October 1.

To safeguard the eco-contribution entitlement, customers might not receive regular bills until the end of September, Enemalta and utility bills handler ARMS Ltd said, apologising for the inconvenience due to the delays.

The feed-in tariffs applicable in the case of PV system owners are 25c per kWh guaranteed for eight years for electricity generated by homes in Malta, 28c per kWh guaranteed for eight years for electricity generated by homes in Gozo and 20c per kWh guaranteed for seven years for electricity generated by non-residential premises in Malta and Gozo.
