As chairman and also on behalf of the Malta Sports Council board of directors, I would like to wish the very best of luck to the Malta Olympic Committee, National Sport Federation officials and all the competing athletes representing Malta in the Games of the Small States of Europe in Liechtenstein.

We are sure that the best effort has been made in the build-up to these games and the council is proud to have assisted consistently and directly either the MOC or the national sport federations in the development and preparation of the athletes.

We firmly believe there are no secrets to success. It is the result of preparation, hard work and learning from failure. In this regard, we hope that each Malta athlete primarily puts in the maximum concentration and effort, whatever the outcome of each competition and without unnecessary pressure and be worthy ambassadors of their sport and our country.
