The anti-divorce group Le B’Rispett Lejn il-Ġejjieni (no, out of respect for the future) said it would remain active on family issues after acknowledging the referendum result.
“Le B’Rispett Lejn il-Ġejjieni accepts this result as a clear sign of the will of the Maltese people which should be respected,” it said in a statement yesterday.
The group said it hoped the parliamentary debate now expected to take place on the divorce Bill would lead to the correction of certain points “which could not be corrected during a campaign that was both rushed and lacking in information”.
The group said it was proud of its role in this campaign and pledged to remain active on issues which relate to the family.
