I read the very detailed write-up about the transformation of the public transport system with the new Arriva buses, which is very commendable: a new service should bring along with it a new era.

I felt aggrieved, however, when I noticed that there are special prices for Kartanzjan holders and similar price reductions for students, etc. but none for people with disability who may require to make use of the new bus system.

Originally the low-floor type of buses were specifically intended for such people, especially those who use a wheelchair for their mobility; however, it seems that people with disabilities cannot avail themselves of special prices.

One must point out that this may have been overseen, and that maybe there is still room to improve the situation, hence my letter to point it out.

I hope that Arriva will offer a better price for disabled persons (of all sorts) to ensure that there is no discrimination.
