Tina Rapinet of the Malta Charities Association of London recently presented a donation of €10,000 to Arka Foundation director Mgr Emanuel Curmi.

The Malta Charities Association organises fundraising activities to help various philanthropic societies in Malta and Gozo throughout the year.

One of its major activities is a gala dinner held before Christmas at The Landmark Hotel in London during which local art works are auctioned.

Stone sculptor Joe Xuereb, who resides in Għajnsielem, has been donating sculptures in limestone to the association for the past 10 years. His work donated for the 2010 activity raised €2,000.
