The Samurai Ju-Jitsu Association Malta (SJJAM) was founded by Master Vincent Sciortino (7th Dan Ju-Jitsu, 3rd Grade Ko-Budo) in 1988.

Since its inception, the SJJAM has been based on pure martial art, self-defence and, above all, discipline.

In a grading session held recently, Kirsten Micallef was awarded the 1st Dan Black Belt. She is the first female student to have received Black Belt ranking in the association.

Micallef received her graduation from Soke Sciortino (7th Dan). Sensei Saviour Azzopardi (3rd Dan) was also present for judging.

Anyone interested to start practising this martial art, may obtain more details by phoning 21-249317 or visit the dojo at 47, Butterfly Street, Marsa.
