Man gets into two separate fights

Three men were injured, two of them seriously, in two separate fights this afternoon.

The police said the first fight was between a 65-year-old man from Xaghra and a 78-year-old man, also from Xaghra in F. Camilleri Street, Xaghra.

The men were taken to hospital where the 78-year-old man was certified to be suffering from grievous but not life threatening injuries.

While in hospital, the 65-year-old got into another fight with a 48-year-old man, also from Xaghra, during which fight he also suffered grievous injuries.

The 48-year-old was slightly injured.
