Marcelle d’Argy Smith, award-winning former editor of UK Cosmopolitan, will be hosting a series of creative writing workshops (non-fiction) for those living and working in Malta who are keen to write or sharpen their writing skills.

Ms d’Argy Smith, who will be hosting the workshops in Sliema, said: “Good writing is about telling stories and painting pictures. Many people who secretly yearn to write often lack the confidence to sit down and do it. They’re not sure how or where to start. This course gives them the impetus and courage they need to get going. Writing isn’t easy. You have to be able to recognise what good writing is before you do it.”

The series of workshops is designed to develop students’ style and awareness of what makes good writing.

There will be six to 10 people in each workshop and those attending will be given individual attention. Courses start on June 20 and include two- to three-hour sessions.
