With increasing numbers of people booking last minute holidays, and thousands still undecided about their summer holidays, Thomas Cook has launched its top 11 holiday destinations for 2011 to give those undecided some holiday inspiration.

Destinations featured in the list include everything from popular city breaks such as New York, to more alternative destinations, such as the isolated island retreat of Santorini, Greece. Havana, Cuba also makes the list for its mix of beach and city break.

The other destinations featured are Kenya’s Mombasa Island, Cancun in Mexico, the Red Sea in Egypt, the European Capital of Sport for 2011 Valencia in Spain, the 2011 European Capital of Culture Tallinn in Estonia, Goa in India, Istanbul in Turkey and Las Vegas, US.

The destinations are presented in the form of an interactive graphic for travellers to be inspired by and explore, said a company spokesman. Customers are also invited to leave feedback on the choices via Thomas Cook UK Facebook page and suggest their own top travel tips for 2011.

Thomas Cook UK & Ireland is the second largest leisure travel group in the UK with around 19,000 employees.

The company has a network of more than 800 high street stores, leading websites, and some of the world’s favourite travel brands providing bargain holidays.
