Divorce is the dissolution of a validly contracted marriage by a human person. No human person can dissolve a valid marriage, also if the marriage is not a sacrament.

Who can tell us more than Christ whether divorce is good or evil? Absolutely, no man, no organisation, no movement. Christ was clear on the evil of divorce and condemned it outright for our own good.

Those who are promoting divorce are just deceiving themselves when they say that divorce can be “good” (sic!) for those whose marriage has broken down. Christ knew that some marriages could collapse but he did not make any exception on the indissolubility of marriage. So much so that when the apostles asked him again, he repeated the same answer: “What God has joined together let no man put asunder”. And “what is impossible for man, it is possible for God”. So a broken marriage is never an excuse for divorce.

This is the unchangeable position of Christ, God made man for our eternal salvation. But the devil wants our eternal damnation. So he suggests to us to resort to divorce exactly because Christ has condemned it. His devilish tactic is to use our conscience and try to deceive us by convincing us that our conscience must be the rule to follow, when it is not. If you want to attain eternal salvation, follow the infallible teaching of Christ as his one Catholic Church tells you.

The devil knows well that on account of divorce many go to hell because they lead a sinful life and die without repenting. He deceived them by suggesting to them conversion at the end of their lives but he cannot promise them sincere repentance. He never advises them that no one is going to deceive God. From his mystical experience, proved over and over again, St Pio of Pietrelcina always referred to divorce as a great evil which always offends God grievously. He used to say that “divorce is a passport to hell”.

Divorce is a tool in the devil’s hands to bring about other evils as well, like abortion, euthanasia and same-sex union. After the introduction of divorce, many of those pro-divorce will unmask their face and start campaigning for these evils as well. Such is the diabolical plan!

There is no middle way: either with God and against divorce or pro-divorce along with the devil. Don’t let the devil deceive you! His deceit will only work to your own detriment.
