Members of YWCA (Malta) recently paid a courtesy visit to President George Abela at San Anton Palace in Attard.

President Mary Jones spoke about one of the various projects being held by the association – its ‘Self-development programme’ – and the educational skills training courses held in various fields.

She also pointed out that courses offered by YWCA (Malta) were free, emphasising that the aim of this NGO was to empower underprivileged young girls and women with skills that would help them improve their standard of living.

Dr Abela proposed that the Community Chest Fund become one of the benefactors for helping with certain projects offered by the YWCA (Malta). He expressed his wish to support this association and congratulated all members while wishing them success in their mission.

YWCA (Malta) thanked the president for finding the time to meet them and presented a donation to the CCF.
