Two Romanian woman were condemned to a suspended jail term today after admitting before a magistrate in Gozo to having sold fake jewellery in Gozo.

Valentina Alexandru , 25 and Codruta Miclescu, 23 also admitting conducting commercial activities without a licence.

They were sentenced to four years in prison suspended for two years. The items for sale were confiscated. 

Inspector Frank Anthony Tabone prosecuted.
