Bay Street Holdings appoints new CEO

Bay Street Holdings has named David Debono chief executive officer to steer business development strategy and corporate de-velopment and consolidate the St Julian’s complex’s operating systems.

Mr Debono joins Bay Street from his tenure at a leading five-star hotel, where since October 2007 he held the roles of operations director and later director of business development, responsible for the formulation and implementation of the growth strategy for the property’s hospitality and retail units. Having been active in the hospitality and leisure industry since the early 1990s, Mr Debono obtained post-graduate qualifications in Operations, Strategic Management, Human Resources, Finance and Marketing from Henley Management College. He recently completed the final stages for his MBA at Henley Business School specialising in corporate and business strategy.

His career has spanned senior management positions within rooms division, food and beverage, and sales and marketing and has occupied the post of group general manager for a small hotel chain.
