Iranian Navy thwarts pirate attack on Maltese-flagged ship
The Iranian Navy has thwarted an attack on a Maltese-registered ship, an Iranian news agency reported.
It said the "Dandle" was attacked off Oman by pirates on four high-speed boats. The ship was sailing towards Iran.
The Iranian navy has strengthened its presence in the Gulf of Aden in a bid to confront piracy.
This was the 10th confrontation with pirated by the Iranian Navy.

Malta should cooperate with Iran on numerous issues regardless of what the Americans dictate. Malta's economy benefits strongly if our ties with Iran are robust. This applies to Libya too!!
