Air Malta and the Malta Tourism Authority have launched a joint advertising campaign at Harrods - the world famous luxury store in Knightsbridge, London. The two-week advertising display, which was showcased on Harrods iconic windows, highlighted the island's diversity for the forthcoming summer season.

Commenting on this initiative, Alex Incorvaja, Malta Tourism Authority director - UK and Ireland said: "The Malta Tourism Authority is proud to be associated with our national flag carrier Air Malta's campaign at Harrods. It gives us a unique platform to showcase the Islands' diverse offering to Harrods customers."

Air Malta Section Head Marketing Services Jimmy Attard added that such campaigns helped foster greater synergies between both organisations to increase tourism arrivals to the islands.

This summer Air Malta will be operating 31 weekly flight connecting London Heathrow and Gatwick airports to Malta.

Earlier today the Labour Party said that while tourist arrivals had increased, arrivals from the UK, Malta's biggest market, had decreased. It said Malta was losing competitiveness for UK tourists while competing destinations were gaining ground.
