Operations at Catania airport back to normal

Operations at the Fontanarossa Airport in Catania are back to normal following the disruptions over the Sicilian airspace caused by a volcanic ash cloud, Air Malta said.

It said that its scheduled flight KM1308/9 has operated as per schedule today and left Malta at 9.20 a.m.

Air Malta said that for the convenience of its passengers, it will be operating an extra flight Malta-Catania-Munich-Catania-Malta today. Flight KM1304/5 is scheduled to leave Malta at 3 p.m.

All other Air Malta flights are expected to operate normally.

Air Malta said it is closely monitoring the situation and will advise its passengers of any changes in its flight operations as a result of these airspace restrictions on its website.
