(Adds BA statement)
The anti-divorce movement has complained of discrimination by the Broadcasting Authority arguing that two thirds of the journalists chosen to field it questions during a news conference on May 19 had a public position in favour of divorce.
The movement called on the BA to be fair and ensure a balance.
However, in another statement, the authority insisted it was acting in the most impartial and transparent manner and it was only carrying out its duty according to law.
It said that it could not subject itself to any type of pressure and the choice of journalists in a news conference could not be considered as an act of balance.
It said it believed the choice of journalists was a balanced one and it would proceed according to its original proposal.
