The Times launches weekly TV Guide

The first issue of the TV Guide, The Times’ weekly entertainment magazine, will be distributed with tomorrow’s issue of the newspaper.

The TV Guide is the first publication of its kind for the Maltese islands, delivering detailed and up-to-date information about everything that will be showing on the most popular local and foreign television channels throughout the following week. Television channel listings offered within the guide include cable channels offered by Melita and Go as well as Maltese and Italian channels.

The TV Guide also includes an exciting mix of features, interviews and gossip featuring the latest titbits on the local entertainment front with a good sprinkling of international flavour. Look out for the launch issue cover story, an in-depth look at the HBO multi-million hit series Game Of Thrones. The production included the participation of hundreds of local extras; see what they had to say about their experiences on set.

The first edition of the TV Guide also puts the spotlight on the Cannes Film Festival – which kicked off last Wednesday – with a special focus on the Maltese production Daqqet ix-Xita and an interview with writer and director Kenneth Scicluna.

That’s not all; there are prizes to be won, the latest gossip from the first Malta Fashion Week, interviews to be read and more, so make sure you pick up a copy of The TV Guide with your newspaper on Saturdays, starting tomorrow.

On Saturdays, as of tomorrow, The Times will sell for the price of €1. The increase in price will partially cover the printing costs of the new magazine, which, given its contents, has a shelf-life of at least a week, and other products offered to readers throughout the year.
