The Malta Resources Authority has warned Easygas that it will be fined €25,000 unless it returns gas cylinders belonging to Liquigas within five working days. An additional fine of €600 will be imposed for every additional day of non-compliance.

Easygas has declared with the MRA that it has 1,973 Liquigas cylinders in its possession. This amount was verified by MRA officials.

Last week the MRA had ordered the rival gas operators to return each other's gas cylinders within five days. That deadline expired yesterday at 5 p.m.Liquigas said it had no Easygas cylinders.
