Cash was stolen in a hold-up at about noon at the Maltapost office in St Paul's Bay today.

Informed sources said a hooded man armed with a pistol entered the post office and demanded cash from a 33-year-old client, who was inside. His haul was under €2,000. No one was injured.

The hold-up was the second in three weeks.

A sum not exceeding €3,000 was stolen from the same place last month when an armed and hooded man entered the post office branch in Sqaq tax-Xema.

He then escaped with the cash. No one was injured.
