Man who carried drug capsules in stomach suffers constipation
An Italian man who carried drug capsules in his stomach was arrested by the police after he suffered constipation and sought medical help, a court was told this morning.
Andrea Marcozzi, 40, a resident of Madrid, pleaded not guilty to having imported cocaine in 66 capsules hidden in his stomach.
The man had initially told the court that he wanted to plead guilty, but he then changed his plea.
Police Inspector Pierre Grech said that the accused managed to pass most of the capsules in his hotel room but some six capsules had remained in his stomach and he called a doctor.
The police were then alerted.
The man, who works as a waiter, arrived in Malta two days ago.
He remains under medical surveillance.

He pleaded not guilty... How is this not being in contempt of court?

An Italian working as a waiter? Why can't the Maltese do that sort of work?

@Mike The Italian man is a drug trafficker, he is not a waiter anymore. He came to Malta two days ago ,he used to work as a waiter in Italy.
He is a 40 year old and he never heard of laxatives, so he went to a doctor for a prescription thinking that the doctor will not report him to the police.
Andrea all you had to do is eat as much as you can and take laxatives. However you won't be needing any laxatives while you are at Corradino.
