No VAT amnesty planned
The Finance Ministry has denied claims by the Leader of the Opposition that it is planning to introduce an amnesty on VAT.
It said Dr Muscat had invented a story which could have negative repercussions on the country's revenue. Such a statement could lead operators to delay their payments, to the detriment of the economy.
Dr Muscat made his comment during a political activity at Labour headquarters yesterday.

According to this report Dr Muscat (PL Leader) invented a malicious story that is detrimental to Malta's Interest: Another yawning gap between fact and fiction?
Last week Dr Muscat (PL Leader) invented a civil right (divorce) - please note that civil rights follow statute law - undeterred he continued trying to be the popularist. Next election will he make this invented civil right PL policy to enact upon his election?
Two weeks ago he made a series of beligerent statements in relation to immigration whereby he agreed wholeheartedly with the position of Lega Nord and won himself the support of Norman Lowell and his 4,000: Only to make a public statement that he does not agree with them but that by mere chance they agree with him.: Yawning gap between reality and fantasy?
What a "Hollow Man"
