The Malta Horticultural Society will be holding its 108th annual Great Spring Show at the Russian chapel in the gardens of San Anton Palace, Attard, on Saturday from 2 till 10 p.m. and Sunday from 8 a.m. till 9 p.m.

The show is an opportunity for horticulture enthusiasts to exhibit and view flower arrangements, cut flowers, plants, fruits, vegetables and homemade preserves.

There will be live entertainment and exhibits of local honey and olive oil, while flower arranging schools will be showcasing their skills.

There will also be an open-air snack bar.

UK-based flower arranger Elizabeth Dawn Levaer will be creating a copy of the arrangement that won her the gold medal and Best in Show at the Chelsea Flower Show in London last year.

The entrance fee will be €2 and the show will be open to the public. Children under 12 can enter for free.

Ms Levaer will also do a display of flower arranging at the Seashell-Suncrest Hotel in Qawra on Wednesday from 5 till 7 p.m. The entrance fee will be €5 for members and €10 for non members.
