Gudja factory wins ground fireworks festival
Our Lady of Consolation fireworks factory of Gudja won the ground fireworks festival held yesterday in Floriana. Five fireworks factories took part.
It was the second time that the Gudja factory won the contest, having also won in 2009.
Mt Carmel Fireworks Factory of Zurrieq won the prize of the best pyrotechnic work as voted through SMS.
The judging panel included experts from Spain and Germany. The panel was chaired by Michael Brockdorff.
The festival was organised by Floriana local council.
