A 56-year-old man was seriously injured yesterday when he fell into a shaft the height of one storey in a block of flats in St Paul’s Bay. The man, who lives in Mosta, was working inside the block on St Paul’s Bay Road at around 2.30 p.m.

Although he suffered serious injuries, he is not in danger of losing his life, the police said.
