Accused of defiling girl, 3

A 36-year-old man was yesterday placed under house arrest after being charged with defiling a three-year-old girl who is the daughter of his partner.

He was also accused of holding the girl against her will and offending public morals. He is pleading not guilty.

Magistrate Anthony Vella granted the man bail against a deposit of €2,000 and a personal guarantee of €10,000.
