A 36-year-old man has been arraigned in court and accused of defiling a girl who was just three years old.
He was also accused of holding the girl against her will and offending public morals.

Granting bail for that sort of crime is insane. If guilty, he can rot in jail. That little girl will be affected all her life!

There should be only one way to heal such abuses.
1. 40 whip lashes on his back.
2. As he is layed facing down, seawater is thrown on his back to increase his pain.
3. Put in jail for six months. Three of them without visitors.
4. His name is written in a registry book for pedophiles which only the police and Magestrates have access.
5. That no intervention from the politians are allowed and should be written in the costitution on Malta.
6. Only after serving his six months in jail should he be allowed to visit a psychiatrist.
7. May He learn the lesson and may God have mercy on him.

Name and shame the individual. I cannot believe that a man is not exposed for what he is.

The bail should reflect the crime. I stand with what a retired Judge said yesterday....that the bail sustem is being abused and that lawyers who are parliamentaries have a conflict of interest in this regard. Lgislation should be revamped to regularize bail and sentencing. I believe that it is high time we have a sentencing guidlines and not let the judiciary decide on punishment according to their whims
