McLaren driver Jenson Button topped the timesheets in the second free practice session for the Istanbul grand prix this afternoon.

Nico Rosberg was a close second in his Mercedes, followed by Lewis Hamilton (McLaren) and Michael Schumacher (Mercedes).

The session was held on a dry track. Champion Sebastian Vettel did not take part in the session after heavily damaging his car in a crash in the wet first free practice.

Fernando Alonso suffered a technical problem which cost him time in FP2.
