The Royal Air Force Association yesterday commemorated 2,301 airmen who died in action during World War II and who have no grave, in a wreath-laying ceremony at the Commonwealth Air Forces Memorial in Floriana. The monument recalls the names of 1,577 RAF men – 286 Canadians, 217 Australians, 172 South Africans and 49 New Zealanders.
