Issue of Malta Government Stocks

The Accountant General has announced the issue of €100,000,000 Fixed-Rate Malta Government Stocks subject to an over-allotment option of an additional sum of € 50,000,000 and €52,000,000 Floating Rate Malta Government Stock.

The Fixed-Rate MGSs are as follows: 4.25 per cent Malta Government Stock 2017(III) Fungibility Issue, and 5.25 per cent Malta Government Stock 2030 (I), Fungibility Issue, or any combination of the above two Stocks which in the aggregate shall be €100,000,000.

The Floating Rate MGS is as follows: Floating Rate Malta Government Stock 2013 (VII) linked to the six-month Euribor.

The price for each Stock at (i) and (ii) above, offered for members of the public will be established today. Such price shall be announced to the Malta Stock Exchange and published in the press.

Applications open on Monday and close on the time and dates as hereunder, or earlier at the discretion of the Accountant General:

At 5 p.m. on Wednesday for applications by any single and/or joint applications which in the aggregate do not exceed €100,000 per person, and at noon on May 13 for applications in the form of sealed bids (auction). The allotment results of each stock to applicants whose applications are in the form of sealed bids (auction) will be determined and announced within two hours immediately after the closing time of applications by auction.

Application forms may be obtained from and lodged at, all members of the Malta Stock Exchange and other authorised Investment Service Providers. Application forms may also be downloaded from the Treasury website with effect from tomorrow.
