A total of 29 persons out on bail have not been found and are thought to have absconded, Home Affairs Minister Carm Mifsud Bonnici told Nationalist MP Franco Debono in reply to a parliamentary question. Three of them are Maltese.

Answering another question by Dr Debono, Dr Mifsud Bonnici said that between 2008 and April 12 this year, 180 people were found guilty of breaching bail conditions. There were 46 in 2008, 43 in 2009, 57 in 2010 and 14 in 2011.
