Salvino Busuttil writes;
Losing Joe is tempered by Heaven’s gain.
Most lovable and caring of men, Joe epitomised the wealth of a Christian character in a continuous celebration of charity. His encompassing love filled his family and his friends with a foretaste of that eternal reward that is now his.
Successful in his earthly mansions, Joe was especially fortunate in his relationship with the Above even before malady caught up with him. His frequent visits to Lourdes and Senglea attested to his Marian devotion and to that of the Redeemer.
Never critical of his fellow men, he preferred persuasion, suggesting understanding rather than condemnation.
His beacon shines on and I am sure that, one day, he will greet us with his endearing smile and twinkling eyes at the gates of Paradise.
