Gilbert Agius extends contract with Valletta

Valletta club captain Gilbert Agius has signed a one-year contract extension.
This was announced this afternoon by Valletta president Victor Sciriha.
He said Mr Agius will also be the nursery's technical director next season.

Watching replay last Sunday I could not believe that Gilbert was about to call it a day and hang up his boots. He may be 37 coming to 38 next year but does it show it? Ofcourse not as a matter of fact it is the other way round. The team shows it when he is not part of it becuase his appearance is felt and the distribution of the ball no other person in the squad can match.
Well done Gillie, thanks and keep in good health. 70% of my coming to watch Valletta is to watch your capabilities.
