Spring fête and open day

Din l-Art Ħelwa will be organising its annual spring fête and open day at the Msida Bastion Historic Garden next Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Guided tours by volunteer historians will be held at 12.45 p.m. and at 2 p.m. Sandwiches, cakes and refreshments will be on sale. There will be stalls selling bric-a-brac, potted plants, books, cakes and food preserves.

The event will provide funds needed to maintain this garden, which has exotic and indigenous plants and trees, set among early 19th-century neo-classic monuments. In 2001, Din l-Art Ħelwa won Europa Nostra’s silver medal for its restoration of this site.

Admission is €2 per person and includes a welcome drink, while entrance for children under 12 is free.
