Maltese dancer and teacher Bettina von Brockdorff was recently awarded the Spanish Dance Society’s Teacher’s Bursary.
This is an annual international award which grants the bearer attendance to the International Teachers’ Course held in Tring, London, during July.
Ms von Brockdorff is the first Maltese teacher to receive this award. She currently forms part of the Spanish Dance Society’s faculty of teachers in Spain and teaches there.
She was awarded the Malta Arts Scholarship in 2010, in order to complete her second teacher’s qualification, after she completed her first teacher’s qualification with Deborah McNamara in Malta.
This award follows her distinction in the most recent vocational Spanish Dance Society’s examination last February. Ms von Brockdorff will be giving Spanish Dance and Flamenco classes of all levels in Malta throughout summer. For more information, e-mail bettinavb@yahoo.co.uk.
