Obituary

ATTARD. On April 21, CHARLES, aged 63, passed peacefully away to meet God in eternal life. Beloved husband of Lora and dedicated father to Archibald and Irina, his mother Pauline, brothers Paul and Mary, George and Anna, sister Margaret and George, mother-in-law Rita, brother-in-law John and Loranne, sister-in-law Carmen and France and brother-in-law Tarcisio, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 8 a.m. for San Ġwann parish church where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 8.30 a.m. followed by interment at Tarxien cemetery. BAKER. MARIELOUISE (Maisie), widow of Cecil Baker and mother of her beloved recently departed daughter Vicky, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church on April 23 at St James Hospital, Sliema. She leaves to mourn her great loss her sons Edward and his wife Anna and John and his wife Alaine, her beloved grandchildren Roberta, Sarah and Sean Portelli, Liz, George and Charlotte, her precious great-grandchildren Julian and Leah, her brother Arthur Gera and his wife Terry and her relatives and friends. The funeral leaves St James Hospital tomorrow at 8.15 a.m. for St Gregory’s parish church, Sliema, where Mass praesente cadavere will be celebrated at 8.45 a.m. followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata cemetery. CAMILLERI. On April 23, CARRIE, widow of Carmelo from Senglea living in Valletta, aged 81, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her great loss her children Marthese and her husband Joe, Tanja and her husband Twanny, Sandro and his wife Claudine, her nephews and nieces Karl, Mariel, Cristina, Owen, Andre’, Randell, Naomi, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Karin Grech Hospital tomorrow at 8 a.m. for St Dominic parish church, Valletta, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 8.30 a.m., followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata cemetery. CARUANA. On April 21, at his residence in Paola, ALPHONSE, aged 82, widower of Calcedonia, née Chetcuti, former director of A&P Caruana Co. Ltd, surrounded by his family and comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his children Julie, wife of Philip Gauci,Carmen, wife of Joe Galea, Anthony and his wife Maria, Alexandra, wife of Charles Saliba, and Mary Rose, wife of Manuel Galea, his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, his sisters Lora, Nena, Jessie, their in-laws, Norma, wife of his late brother Paul, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. DEBONO. On April 21, at Mater Dei Hospital, MARIA ASSUNTA, aged 95, of Rabat, passed peacefully away, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Albert, Carmen and her husband Horace Farrugia, Egidio and his wife Vivienne, Loreta and her husband Paul Micallef, Paul and his wife Maria, her 10 grandchildren, their husbands and wives, her three great-grandchildren, relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 8 a.m. for the Collegiate parish church of St Paul, Rabat, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 8.30 a.m., followed by interment at Santa Margherita cemetery in Rabat. He leaves to mourn his irreparable loss his beloved wife Josephine née PaceBardon, his adored daughters Erika, Nikki and her fiancé Massimiliano Bovaio, his sisters Ita Giorgio and Anouk, his mother-in-law Mary Pace Bardon, his sisters-in-law Monica, wife of Charles Swain, and Sandra, wife of Joe Camilleri, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She leaves to mourn her loss her dearly beloved husband Gerald, her precious children John, Sarah, David and Matthew, her parents Paul and Josephine, her brother Tony and his wife Ednelia and their daughters Maria Eduarda and Taina, and her sister Diane, her in-laws Lawrence and Lilian Fenech, Francis and his wife Susan, Charmaine and her fiancé Simon Debono, Diane and her husband Simon Sant Fournier and son Gregory, relatives and friends.
