Vandalism at Gudja cemetery
Ornaments on various graves at Gudja cemetery were vandalised last night by unknown people.
People who visited the cemetery today said many brass items, especially crucifixes and candle holders, had been stolen and some marble works were smashed.
The damaged graves, about 20, included those of Raymond Caruana, a Labour MP and the Police Commissioner's family.
Vandalism was also reported two days ago at Addolorata Cemetery.

Lately I had to visit a couple of cemetries for funerals namely the Zabbar and Addolorata and the guardians of both places told us that this is happening more often lately. The Gudja one is a third one in the space of less than a month. I believe that the police already know these facts and we should know who these vandals are soon!!!!!!!!!! It still lies heavy on my heart when I think of the unborn babies mnument stolen a few months ago. I have heard nothing since. Please do work hard on it!!!!!!!!!!
