Drug-carrying Romanian arrested at airport

A Romanian man is under arrest after having been caught trying to import almost 2kg of cocaine in a false compartment of his luggage.

The police said he was arrested at the airport late yesterday in a joint operation with Customs.

The man flew in from Zurich. He is expected to be arraigned in the coming days.

The police and Customs last week arrested a Pole in similar circumstances. He had flown in from Brussels.
