Mcast students’ voluntary day

Malta College of Arts, Science and Technology (Mcast) students held their annual voluntary day in various locations around Gozo last Monday.

More than 50 students carried out maintenance work on two Wirt Għawdex heritage sites, including Mġarr ix-Xini Tower and theGunpowder Magazine, Battery, Silos and WWII shelters at the Citadel.

Some of the students were also assigned to join other volunteers to clean up the wash house at Għajn Tuta in Kerċem. This site was chosen by Wirt Għawdex as part of its 30th anniversary activities with the support of the Kerċem council.

At each location, the students were given a brief history of Wirt Għawdex and the sites it looks after.
