While many UK music fans will descend upon Glastonbury and T in the Park this summer, Skyscanner took a look at some of Europe’s top festivals and counts down to the best value festival for the savvy music fan.
These include: T in the Park, Kinross, July 8 to 10 at £98 per day. While Scotland’s annual knees-up boasts one of the world’s biggest line-ups including Foo Fighters and Arctic Monkey’s, it was the most expensive of the festival options.
Exit, Serbia, July 7 to 10 – £89 per day. The festival is set in a scenic location by the Danube, and regularly wins awards for its party atmosphere and world-class line-up which this year includes Arcade Fire and M.I.A. Melt Festival, Germany, July 15 to 17– £85 per day. The unique backdrop of Melt, an open-air museum full of huge industrial machines, is an attraction in itself, as is the impressive electronic-meets-rock line-up with Plan B, Pulp and very cheap beer.
Glastonbury, Somerset, June 22 to 26 at £75 per day. The cost per day of Glastonbury is low, though the festival lasts five days in total. Fans can witness Beyoncé shaking her booty to thousands of mud-soaked revellers on the Sunday night.
Open’er Festival, Poland, June 30 to July 3 – £62 per day. “This is topping our list for real value which offers great value beer alongside top bands such as Coldplay and The Strokes,” said a spokesman for Skyscanner.
