Seminar on emotional intelligence

A seminar on emotional intelligence in business will be led by strategic coach and trainer Claudette Portelli at the Hotel Phoenicia, Floriana, on April 27.

Organisers W&D Magro, the Birkirkara-based professional services firm, said the event has been designed to equip managers, lawyers, accountants, policy-makers, sales people and decision-makers with techniques to manage emotions better and understand other people’s feelings.

The firm describes emotional intelligence as the ability to recognise and understand emotions and their impact on behaviour and attitudes. The modern workplace requires open communication, team work and mutual respect among employees and their supervisors.

Ms Portelli, a qualified psychologist, is a trainer at W&D’s Business Advisory Unit and a senior collaborator at Arezzo’s Centro di Terapia Strategica.
