In their first season, the Kavallieri RS2 girls won the U-17 league organised by the Malta Handball Association. Kavallieri competed against four other teams and finished with a three-point lead at the top. The team, under the guidance of Twanny Xuereb and Luke Zammit, enjoyed a run of seven consecutive wins to secure the title with a game to spare.
