A man was this morning remanded in custody after pleading not guilty to the attempted murder of a driver he allegedly stabbed during a road rage incident.
Frankie Falzon, 33, of Zebbug, pleaded not guilty to the attempted murder of Philip Micallef, also of Zebbug in Main Street last Sunday at 8.45 p.m.
He also pleaded not guilty to seriously injuring him, being in possession of a weapon and a knife, drink driving and relapsing.
Police sources said the two men were driving in an opposite direction and both refused to give way.
Mr Micallef's wife got out of the car, walked over to the Mr Falzon's car and grabbed the keys out of its ignition causing Mr Falzon to also get out of his car and allegedly stab Mr Micallef in the stomach.
The defence reserved right to request bail at a later stage.
