Referring to Joseph Agius’s letter Unfinished Restoration Job At The Xlendi Tower (April 14), how long has the author lived in Malta for, I wonder? Is he not used to the many unfinished or never started projects in this country?

Not only was the tower at Pembroke never restored but it is in great danger of falling onto passers-by. Why is this negligence allowed to carry on? Perhaps because it is not prominent enough to get “their” attention?

Nobody is employed to see that things are finished by a certain decent time. One only has to look at other projects and see how long they took to be completed.

If the environment took care of itself we would truly be a gem in the Mediterranean Sea!
