ESU offers scholarships

The English-Speaking Union will once again be offering scholarships for two activities.

The first will be a cultural seminar for teachers entitled ‘Shakespeare and his Stage’ at the Globe Theatre, London, from August 7 to 13. This one-week course is open to teachers of English or theatre who have experience teaching Shakespeare at secondary school level.

The scholarship covers course fees, accommodation, meals and theatre trips. ESU Malta will cover return flights courtesy of Air Malta.

The second scholarship is for an international relations conference entitled ‘In the Current Climate’ at Oxford University from August 7 to 13. This conference is open to young professionals aged approximately between 23 and 25 with career backgrounds in law, journalism, business or politics.

The scholarship covers 50 per cent of the €1,127 course fee; applicants will need to provide the rest. ESU Malta will cover return flights courtesy of Air Malta.
