Crimsonwing implements Microsoft accounting system at Maypole Group

Crimsonwing (Malta) Ltd, the IT solutions provider, has installed Microsoft’s Dynamics AX financial accounting system at Maypole Group.

The group manufactures food products, runs convenience stores, and manages franchise operations under its Maypole brand.

The group’s growth has necessitated the implementation of an enterprise resource planning solution that caters for Maypole’s diverse business interests.

Crimsonwing is a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner with many years of experience in the implementation and enhancement of the Microsoft Dynamics AX platform.

AX has proven a success with local customers such as Bank of Valletta.

Dynamics AX will replace Maypole’s accounting system and will be integrated with Retail Pro, a point of sales system available on the local market from a third party.

The installation at Maypole will cover the full trading cycle, including the sales ledger, purchases ledger, bank accounts, general ledger and Vat.

A second phase with Maypole, to start after the initial implementation, will extend the functionality to cover stock, production and a portal enabling store orders to be sent directly to Maypole’s head office for fulfilment.

This will make Maypole the first organisation in Malta to have the full manufacturing cycle running on AX.
