The musical Għaliex Jien? Il-Passjoni b’Differenza will be staged once again at the Astra Theatre next Sunday at 3.30 p.m.

The musical does not only retell the story of the passion of Jesus in a traditional way but also seeks to transport the essence of certain values into a contemporary context.

The plot questions certain decisions taken then and now and attacks attitudes such as hypocrisy and injustice.

The play also treats the values of love, loyalty and responsibility.

The three-act musical, put up by the Għaqda Armar San Ġorġ Martri and the Membri Atturi Teatru Astra, is written by Joe Chircop, produced by Mario Tabone and Chircop and composed by Patrick Vella, Andrew Zammit and Mark Tonna.

The Centre Stage Dance Academy dancers took part.

Tickets may be obtained from the Astra Theatre’s bar or by calling 2155 6256 or 7925 6897.
