The Faculty of Education’s Centre of Educational Technology, Research and Innovation Faculty of Education is co-ordinating an Erasmus exchange with Oslo University College (OUC) Norway’s Faculty of Education and International Studies.
A team from the Faculty of Education will be collaborating with a team from OUC on initiatives related to technology-enhanced learning in teacher training.
Since this is an Erasmus Teaching exchange, the main contribution of the visiting team will be to lecture sessions in the Education Faculty’s Programme in Educational Technology, Design and Innovation of the and sessions in ICT in subject-specific methodology areas.
Team members have been paired according to their expertise. The exchange programme also includes meetings between the teams to discuss and identify areas for future collaboration.
These sessions are also open to other members of the Faculty who would like to share their expertise and benefit from this exchange experience.
On Wednesday the visiting team will join the ICT committee of the Faculty of Education to discuss their experience regarding policies at OUC dealing with the integration of ICT in initial teacher training and professional development of academic staff. This meeting is also open to all other Faculty members.
Between 4 and 5.30 p.m. the members of the Norwegian team will be the main speakers at a public seminar to be held in Hall E, Gateway Building. The theme of this event is ‘ICT and Technology-Enhanced Learning in Initial Teacher Training and Continuous Professional Development’.
