Who is protecting us?

The Consumer Affairs Council will organise a half-day conference at the Dolmen Hotel, Qawra, on April 19, starting at 9 a.m. The subject is ‘The regulatory authorities – their role in protecting consumers’.

Consumers are frequently at a loss when it comes to lodging a complaint. This conference is intended to increase awareness on the role of various authorities and entities who are able to offer consumer advice.

The conference will be opened by Parliamentary Secretary for Consumers and Fair Competition Chris Said and will include speakers from the Consumer and Competition Department, Malta Financial Services Authority, Malta Standards Authority, Medicines Authority and the European Consumer Centre.

Register your attendance by sending an e-mail to cacouncil@ gov.mt or call council secretary Cecilia Testa on 2144 3842 or 2144 6251. Lunch will be served at the end of the conference.

Attendance is free.
