The marriage took place at St Gregory’s parish church, Sliema. Fr Victor Formosa Gauci, SJ, celebrated Mass. Congratulations and love to our dear parents from David and Rosanne, Simon and Roberta, and grandchildren Hannah and Katrina.

Obituary

BAJADA. On April 8, at Karin Grech Hospital, ANTHONY of Pietà, aged 84, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved wife Theresa née Buttigieg, his children Marlene, Mgr Joseph, Manuel, Connie and her husband Charles Farrugia, Charles and Raymond and his wife Claire, his granddaghuter Joanna and her fiancé Kevin Sillato, and his grandsons Sean, Joseph and Mario and his in-laws and other relatives. Special thanks to Dr Peter Ferry and his friend Joseph Camilleri for the care they both gave him. The funeral leaves Karin Grech Hospital today at 1.30 p.m. for the Immaculate Conception parish church, Ħamrun, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2 p.m., followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

BROWNRIGG. On April 7, at Mater Dei Hospital, GEORGE, aged 59, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved wife Christine, née Ellul Castaldi, his sons Andrew, Mark and John and their girlfriends Rachel, Pippa and Mara, his sister Jayne and her husband Antoine Torpiano, his brother Robert, his brother-in-law Jean Pierre and his wife Carmen, his nieces Francesca, Tara, Martina, Debbie, Daniela and his nephew Jimmy, his aunt Lily, his cousins Philip and Tita, relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 8.30 a.m. for St Julians parish church were Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 9.15 a.m., followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Puttinu Cares Children’s Cancer Support Group, Rainbow Ward, Mater Dei Hospital, will be greatly appreciated. Lord grant him eternal rest.

MICALLEF. On April 8, at Boffa Hospital, ALEXANDRA (Sandra) of Floriana, aged 50, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband Emanuel, her children Roxanne and her fiancé Mark, and Leon, her mother Antonia, her sisters, in-laws, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 8.30 a.m. for St Publius parish church, Floriana, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 9 a.m., followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery.

SATARIANO – ANTHONY. On April 7, aged 92, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He will be sadly missed by his wife Melina, his children Victor and his wife Anna, Sandra and her husband Michael, grandchildren and partners, Roberta and Ramon, Marco and Vanessa, Petra and Nik, Michela and Kris, Francesca and Paul, and his great-grandchildren Kyra, Lara and Sam, his sister Ida Urpani, other relatives and friends. Mass præsente cadavere will be said on Monday, April 11 at 8.45 a.m. at St Gregory parish church, Sliema, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

Blood donation

The mobile blood donation unit will be available for blood donation next to Mellieħa police station, tomorrow, from 8.30 a.m. till 1.30 p.m.

Power cut

There will be power cuts between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Monday in Ġibjun, Klematis and Kahwila streets in Santa Luċija.
